SYNOPSIS
Early one morning on the streets of Seattle, Lee Shiao-Lung, a Chinese student from Hong Kong, rides his bicycle and delivering newspapers. Shiao-Lung’s classmates persuade him to participate in a Karate tournament being held at the university they are attending. However, his girlfriend Lina is opposed because she fears he will get hurt. A Japanese student boasts that Kung Fu is useless against Karate. Because of this remark, Shiao-Lung is determined to enter the contest. He defeats all of the top Karate champions and becomes a famous champion who is idealised by all. All, that is, except one Japanese expert named Yamata who resented the outcome of the competition and challenges Lee to a duel. Yamata is defeated but the defeat leaves him with a deep hatred for Shiao-Lung.
NBC approach Lee and offer him a part in the Green Hornet TV series and he happily accepts the role believing this to be an opportunity to promote Kung Fu. Shiao-Lung becomes a star in the TV show and marries his girlfriend Linda. He begins a peaceful family life but after living in the States for so long, he feels the need to return to Hong Kong.
After returning to Hong Kong, Shiao-Lung puts on a Kung Fu demonstration on the local TV. He becomes unhappy with the amount offered to star in a movie in Hong Kong and decides to return to his family in the States. A producer at a new production company sees the potential of Lee’s talents and sends Miss Leong Hua to America to personally invite Shio-Lung to return to Hong Kong to star in movies for his company. His first two films for the company completely break all box-office sale records. Following his success, Shiao-Lung brings his wife to Hong Kong to live with him but his can not resist the love and passion of Ting-Pei, a beautiful movie star who has so much to offer him at the height of his career.
