Donnie Yen’s Enter the Fat Dragon set for release

More details have been revealed for action star Donnie Yen’s latest project, Enter the Fat Dragon. The film was announced back in 2017 and looks set for release next year. The film is not a remake of the 1978 Sammo Hung film of the same name but instead a new story of an overweight cop who lends his martial arts skills to an unlikely career in crime-busting. Donnie will be donning a fat suit for the project.

Bruceploitation lives on! With the upcoming project from Martial Arts trainer and Bollywood Action director Cheetah Yajnesh Shetty. It will be his first Hollywood feature film and will star Abbas Alizada, who gained fame on social media as ‘the Afghanistan Bruce Lee’. He will now be using the name Abb Li, which follows the trend of Bruceploitation actors of the past. Not a lot of details as yet on the films story but will be based around the legacy of Bruce Lee. Filming will commence early next year and is expected to release during 2019.

Bruce Lee A Dragon Story – DVD release from Asia Line

New release from the Asia Line collection from Germany is “The Bruce Lee Story”. The very first Bruce Lee bio-pic starring Ho Chung-dao (Bruce Li). The DVD features a newly transferred 35mm print. It comes with English and German dubbed language selections as well as an uncut version of the movie using other prints to make it the most complete version currently available.

Bruce’s Fingers US Blu Ray

Bruce’s Deadly Fingers comes to Blu-ray courtesy of MVD Visual and VCI. The release is the first of a selection of upcoming Martial Arts movie releases from the company. The blu-ray offers US buyers the chance to own this new 2K scan from the original 35mm negative and comes with deleted scenes, trailer, picture gallery and more.

In Memory of Brad Harris

It was recently reported that the actor and stuntman Brad Harris died on November 7th after a short illness in Santa Monica, USA. He was 84 years old.  Brad was best known for his work in sword-and-sandal movies in Europe but Bruceploitation fans may remember him for his role in the Bruce Le classic, CHALLENGE OF THE TIGER (as pictured).
