Bruce Le’s new movie “Yang Jingyu” Screening

“Yang Jingyu” (aka Blood Hero) was screened back in May 2019 at the China Agricultural University to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is Bruce Le’s latest movie that he both directed and he features in a villain role. The film tells the story of real-life famous anti-Japanese national hero, Yang Jingyu, who led a team to kill the Japanese army in the vast snowfields.
The film took 3 years to complete and production of the movie was not the easiest. The cast and crew braved the extreme cold weather conditions in order to get the most realistic feel for the actual events that took place.
When making a speech at the University, Bruce Le said “we should use film creation to guide the audience, young people should not only be “superheroes” in their minds, we should bear in mind that today’s peaceful life, are the heroes of the Chinese nation in exchange for blood”.
The film has already won awards at various film festivals and will be officially released this year, with some discussion of a 3D release.
