After the murder of two kung fu experts, Bruce, a Police Inspector from New Zealand, decides to get involved in the case despite only being on vacation in Hong Kong. At the scene of the most recent murder, the victim managed to tear off a Buddha pendant from the killer. The link between the two murders is the strange markings on the victims neck. Bruce retraces the victims final footsteps and the search leads him to tracking down experts in Iron Finger Kung Fu.

The first expert he visits is Hu Pao (Ku Feng). In order to investigate further, Bruce pretends to be seeking employment at Hu’s gym and gets a job as a instructor. Bruce soon loses he job at the gym after he helps Siu Siu, the daughter of the gyms master, and her boyfriend.

The second expert and possible suspect is Teacher Leung Siu-Lung who runs when questioned about his whereabouts by Bruce. After fighting with Leung, the two are broken up by Siu Siu’s boyfriend, who is a student at Leung’s gym. It is then revealed that he had nothing to do with the murders and tells Bruce that Hu Pao is a much greater expert in the technique than him.

With the new lead, Bruce begins to investigate Wu Pao more closely and discovers that his wife, Lulu, was last seen with the victim on the night of his death. The promiscuous Lulu is often known to sleep with other men and also runs a seedy operation of bringing illegal immigrant girls to be prostitutes.

As Bruce gets near to solving the case, he is helped by his new friend, Teacher Leung, as they both aim to capture the mad killer master of Iron Finger kung fu technique.
